Elkton, MD – County Executive Elect Danielle Hornberger is pleased to announce the names of the chairs of eight subcommittees that will assist in the transition to the new administration. These subcommittees are tasked with reporting vital information on priority issues for the incoming County Executive.

The committees and chairs are as follows:

Opioid Committee, Virgil Boysaw, Chair
Public Safety Committee, Sheriff Scott Adams, Chair
Customer Service Committee, Bob Meffley, Chair
COVID-19 Committee, Travis Marion, Chair
Economic Development Committee, Bill Coutz, Chair
Education Committee, Jeff Lawson, Chair
Broadband Committee, Danny DeMarinis Chair
Agriculture Committee, Al Miller, Chair

“I am honored to have this team of community leaders partner with me as we begin our work for the citizens of Cecil County,” said Danielle Hornberger, County Executive Elect. “The information these committees will provide to my administration will enable us to more effectively serve the citizens of Cecil County as we begin to tackle our county’s most pressing issues.”

Committees will begin work by December 7, and will complete their reports by January 4. A call for interest in serving on a committee was made public on November 22, 2020. Anyone interested in serving on a committee should email hornbergertransitionteam@gmail.com by December 1, 2020.
