FY 2022 Maryland Recovery Now Grant Funds Awarded

Elkton, MD: Cecil County Executive Danielle Hornberger is pleased to announce the local recipients of the one-time Maryland Recovery Now grant funds from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). This funding is awarded to assist non-profits with COVID-related expenses from March 1, 2020, to December 31, 2021.

The review committee received grant applications from 39 local Cecil County organizations; all organizations meeting the grant requirements received funding. Funding amounts were based on the applicant’s funding request and/or operating budgets. A total of $340,259 was awarded, the full amount allocated to Cecil County by DHCD.

“Cecil County Government is pleased to award Recovery Now grants to these local organizations”, stated County Executive Hornberger. “These grants will be used to cover technology, expenses related to operations during COVID-19, and the replacement of revenue lost due to fundraising constraints.”
